What are the audition requirements?

If you are auditioning for Bent or Dead City, please prepare either one contemporary monologue or two short contrasting contemporary monologues in the style of your choice.

If you are auditioning for A Little Night Music, please prepare either one full song or two short contrasting songs. Please bring appropriately marked sheet music in the appropriate key - an accompanist will be provided.

Notes from Joe Deer, the director of A Little Night Music: "I am very comfortable hearing people sing from the show. Whatever the choice, I prefer it be in the style of the show. Rock, etc. just doesn't help. The Leibisleiders need to be able to sing with strong legit technique but also act at the same time. Type matters a lot for this show. People need to sound like and look like the role. I'd like them to help me see them in the roles. No costumes, please. But, just make it clear where they fit into the show. Charlotte should be Charlotte, not "sort of" Anne or Petra."

Night Music Character Breakdown:
