First presented in New York in a long-run 2004 Off-Broadway smash hit production and recently released as feature film directed by William Friedkin (The Exorcist), NSC is itchingly excited to present the regional premiere of Tracy Letts’ psycho-thriller BUG. A disturbing look at how love can get under one’s skin, BUG explores the boundary between paranoia and reality as a woman holed up in a seedy motel room (in hiding from her abusive ex-husband) falls in love with a stranger willing to protect her. NSC’s Producing Artistic Director Alan Patrick Kenny directs this potent mix of The X-Files, Quentin Tarantino, trailer-trash and creepy-crawlies.
“BUG has a subtlety and sureness of composition that testifies to top-flight craftsmanship. Buckle up and brace yourself for the theater season’s wildest ride.”
-The New York Times
“A riveting thriller of paranoia and an instant guilty pleasure.”
-Hollywood Reporter
